Job Description
The Medical Assistant provides direct patient care within the scope of practice within the
Outpatient/Ambulatory practices at the Hospital Campus. The MA provides direct patient care and technical assistance to the LPN/RN and/or Physicians. Specific components of the MA role include monitoring patient room flow, and assist with specific nursing procedures; documenting patient care activities improving quality of care, establishing relationships within practice team, fostering development of self and fulfilling responsibilities as an employee at MHRI, and demonstrating clinical competence in identified areas. Performs related duties as required.

Experience
MA training program graduate- required
1-2 years medical office/practice experience. Primary Care experience preferred.
Special Qualifications
Subscribes to MHRI/CNE values - Accountability, Caring and Teamwork. Demonstrates a high degree of personal courtesy and integrity when dealing with co-workers, patients and the public.
Current BLS/AED Certification required
Knowledge of Medical Terminology, Joint Commission Standards, OSHA Regulations.
