Job Description
The CT scan technologist performs computerized tomographic procedures of designated anatomical areas as requested by physicians, applying ionizing radiation to patients according to established practices and procedures and in a manner consistent with prescribed radiation protection safety standards.  The provision of services provided include, but are not limited to, assessing patients, developing plan for accomplishing procedure(s) ordered, setting up room and equipment to accomplish procedure, and insuring image qualify.
Experience

Minimum of 1 year experiene as a radiologic technologist at MHRI, or minimum of 1 year current experience.

Special Qualifications

Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with peers, other disciplines, patients, and other customers.  Knowledge of aseptic technique, organizational and priority setting skills, current BLS certification from American Heart Association.

Physical Requirements

Considerable standing, bending and walking.  Lifts, positions, push and/or transfers patients.  Lifts supplies and equipment weighing up to 25 lbs.  May sit for long periods of time.

Required Education
Graduate of Committee of Allied Health Education and Accreditation (AMA), asccredited radiography program, or equivalent, Registered in radiography by the ARRT.  Registered in computed tomography by the ARRT.
