Seamlessly integrated with Epic and provider workflows, HealthHelper delivers
strong return on investment through quality metrics and patient retention
(Providence, RI) – Care New England Medical Group and Integra Community Care Network are proud to announce the impressive results of its partnership with HealthHelper, which yielded significant improvements in key quality metrics in 2024.
Through its technology-enabled care gap closure services, HealthHelper helped Care New England achieve immediate revenue gains while enhancing patient care and retaining patients within the health system.
In just one year, the HealthHelper partnership drove improvements across several targeted quality metrics:
● +13% increase in Breast Cancer Screenings
● +16% increase in Colorectal Cancer Screenings
● +10% increase in Hypertension Screenings
● +61% increase in Diabetic Eye Exams
● +29% increase in Diabetic Hba1c Screenings
The program also achieved an 88% in-network retention rate for screening mammograms, ensuring that patients received high-quality, coordinated care within Care New England’s system.
The collaboration generated measurable financial results, including 5,245 appointments scheduled across the care continuum in the first year and a 3.4x return on investment for Care New England and Integra Community Care Network. By retaining patients in-network and closing critical care gaps, the partnership unlocked immediate revenue opportunities while relieving providers and staff of the time-consuming administrative burden of quality work.
“This is the easiest implementation project I’ve ever had!” shared one Care New England team member. Another team member noted, “My medical assistant scheduled a mammogram through you, and she thought the texting was fabulous. She hadn’t gotten it in 4 years! You made it so easy for her!”
“Our partnership with HealthHelper has delivered measurable value for both our health system and our ACO,” said Dr. Ana Tuya-Fulton, President and COO of Integra and Chief Population Health Officer of Care New England. “Their solutions have improved performance, driven results, and been seamlessly integrated into our workflows. We love working with the HealthHelper team!”
HealthHelper’s quick time-to-value was evident as the program was implemented in under two months, and seamlessly integrated into Care New England’s Epic platform. By taking on the time-intensive work of closing care gaps, HealthHelper empowered providers and staff to focus on delivering exceptional care to patients.
“Our mission is to help healthcare organizations achieve their goals by taking on the work providers simply don’t have time for,” said Dr. Josh Kahane, Family Medicine Physician and CEO of HealthHelper. “This partnership with Care New England showcases how AI-enabled care coordination can improve quality metrics, drive revenue, and create a better experience for both patients and providers.”
