Care New England Honors Our Veterans

(Providence, RI)  -- Care New England hosted a special ceremony at Women & Infants Hospital on October 29, 2024, to honor our colleagues' sacrifices for military service.

Care New England’s team members with military service bring invaluable skills and perspectives to the healthcare field. Their experiences enhance teamwork, resilience, and adaptability, which are essential in high-pressure environments. Drawing on their backgrounds, these veterans contribute to a culture of commitment and compassion, ultimately benefiting patients and colleagues. Their dedication to both service and healthcare exemplifies a profound commitment to community well-being.

Those on hand to recognize our veterans included, Shannon R. Sullivan, president and COO, Women & Infants Hospital, Rhode Island Senator Sheldon Whitehouse, Rhode Island Congressman Gabe Amo, Providence Mayor Brett Smiley, Sen. Tiara Mack, Rep. Jose Batista, RI Brigadier General Thomas Hannon, RIANG command, and Director of Rhode Island Veteran Affairs Kasim Yarn.
