(Providence, RI) – On Monday, November 15, 2021, Care New England’s Women & Infants Hospital stepped forward with a bold new identity as part of the ongoing evolution of its brand. While unveiling its new branding components, the leading women’s hospital in Rhode Island will maintain the same world-class standard of healthcare that patients have come to know and trust for decades.
Women & Infants Hospital is the only hospital in the state of Rhode Island with a Level IV Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), and delivers the vast majority of babies in Rhode Island, with approximately 8,500 deliveries per year.
Because Women & Infants Hospital’s programs, services, and mission have grown in various ways over the course of the past several decades, its brand has been refreshed to reflect those thoughtful, proactive achievements, which include, among other things, embodying women’s empowerment and health equity.
“At Care New England’s Women & Infants Hospital, we know that the story of every person that walks through the door starts here. It is among our core missions to empower women of all ages, races, ethnicities, and beliefs, through exceptional healthcare throughout every stage of life. The leadership and staff at Women & Infants pride themselves in providing nationally leading services in women’s wellness, mental health, and starting a family,” said James E. Fanale, MD, President and CEO, Care New England Health System.
“Women & Infants Hospital has been the place that for centuries, women have come to have their high-risk deliveries, and deliver their babies, but it’s not the only thing we do. We provide comprehensive care to women throughout their lifetime, including for gynecological issues, oncology care and treatment, breast health, and internal medicine. Moving forward into the exciting future of Women & Infants Hospital, we’re working to expand what we do well, and make the community aware that we can take care of them, their mothers, sisters, daughters, aunts, friends, and other Rhode Islanders, throughout the course of their lifetimes. Our new brand is a beacon to the community that Women & Infants Hospital focuses on every aspect of comprehensive care, ensuring that all are seen, heard, and represented,” said Shannon Sullivan, President and COO, Women & Infants Hospital.
“I have received my own care here, including delivering all three of my children. It means a lot to me personally, to see to it that Women & Infants continues to expertly and safely care for all Rhode Islanders who need our world-class programs and services, well into the future,” she added.
The announcement is the official launch of Women & Infants Hospital’s new brand identity, which includes a redesigned logo, tagline, and website.
The new Women & Infants icon depicts a silhouette of the strength and power of a woman. Its tagline, ‘Your story starts here’ reflects what Women & Infants Hospital’s brand is, the strength of a woman fighting breast cancer, the healing that takes place after losing a baby, the peace of mind and wellness that comes from getting your mammogram, and the pure joy and happiness of starting a family.
